Ahhh! Spring 2010 is fast approaching. Yeah, we still have to content with a little chill and snow and some blizzard conditions. These are short term and soon we will be enjying the warm breezes sunny sunsets bar b que and outside fun.

Now is the time to start consideration of the home window treatments for spring time. Don't wait til spring is here or you'll end up with summer time and still no new window fashions.

Two inch wood blinds are still and may always be the best most popular update to any lonely sad window. real wood blinds of 2" and 1" can be had in stains and white. White of course is a spring time favorite.

Single and double cellular shades will help to soften the extreme glares of sun in heavy sun exposed windows. Honecomb cell shades filter the light to soft glow and can be raised or lowered according the option you choose. Many shades are available from bold to sensual soft. Perfect arch shades are a thought. If you have perfect half circle window top, check out the cellular arches. Don't have a perfect arch? Consider a shade or blind mounted from the the arch down. Sides mounting can allow for a window blind or window shade to be mounted from that point just below the arch and will cover to the bottom of the window. Because most arches are fairly high, you need not cover them at all.

So this is Christmas.

The economy stinks. The world is in chaos while the dollar shrinks. Dishonesty rules and good takes a back seat. We listen to leaders, believing not what they speak. What happened to unity? Where is the truth, compassion and comfort we enjoyed in youth? Hard to be happy in down turned times.

Good news my friends! All is not lost. For hope we have and that not at cost. Not at a cost for you or I, though cost it did for Jesus to die. He gave His life upon that cross that not one who believed should be lost. Why all this mention of Jesus death? Because in order to die He had to be born.

Christmas 2009. We have yet another opportunity to rejoice in the birth of our savior Jesus, the Christ. We can take a break from worldly issues and remember the Reason for the Season. I urge you to open a bible and read Luke Chapter 2 (The Birth of Jesus). This is the original Christmas story and why we celebrate Christmas.

In honor of the Christmas celebration this company will close for a few days. The web site will remain open for viewing and ordering, yet manufacturing and delivery will be delayed. Details available on the site. After Christmas we will be back to work producing custom made wood blinds and window shades for homes and business.

Don't let the short time frame get cha down. Though we will be closed through the Christmas and New Year celebration we will still be able to receive orders placed via the web site. Placing your order will allow you to be ahead of the January blind rush! Yes, every year January is a little backed up due to the rush of folks that want to brighten the home with new decor.

The deep freeze is on! I don't have to tell you all in the Northern most U.S how cold it is. Everyone knows when it snows in Houston,Texas...its COLD!

It's a beautiful days friends! Your in total control of the elements outside. That is to say you will be if you use the tools you have at your disposal. I am talking about the tilt control mechanism on your 2" wood blinds from wbsfactory.com

One of the biggest concerns today with window treatments is " energy cost, loss and gain" to you realize that you have control over this issue? It is winter time. We want to block the cold from our homes. Reduce the cool air from around the windows. One thing to remember is that you have tools for this. The tilt control on your window blinds will allow you to control the light as well as the view. Closing the blinds at night is common to control the outside view into your home. Tilting the blinds open during the day allows you to see the wonderful sunshine and happenings outside. Also consider the angle at which the blinds are tilted. Winter can be harsh, yet on bright sunny days we can use the warmth of the suns rays to our advantage. Tilting the blinds at a downward angle will allow the suns energy to be directed onto the rooms floor. Hey Ya'll,

Been a little busy lately. Seeing some countryside visiting some relatives. As Letha and I traveled some of the back roads on mini vacation we came across some of the fun sites that small towns have to offer. Things that make a road trip fun. The cute signs and promotions that are designated to invite the customer to peruse the goods for sale at certain establishments. I love the many ideas and specialty words to draw attention to a business. Just one of my favorites featured here (We have Propane Blue Bell Ice Cream). Humm...Okay we did not try that but hey! Perhaps we should have.

We traveled many small two lane roads and came across many marketing ploys that are sooo funny and smart. (Rayne, La. is apparently the Frog Capitol of the World) according to the signs and freeway paintings.

The heat is on here in Texas. Heat index in the triple digits almost daily for the last three weeks. Rainfall is lacking the energy slacking and everyone looking for a cool place to hide. Gees we need some rain! Just a cool 2 inches would work well to start. Maybe a little every evening 1/4" thing after that. Feast or famine drought or flood. We always want what we do not have and then we get it and that ain't good enough...LOL!

Father's Day Gift

Father's Day is quickly approaching. Spend some time with dad. Let um know you care. He wants to see you. It's been so long.

Take him fishing. It is a load of fun. Just kick back. Cast and catch. Cast and catch.

Can be a little warm. Make sure you got the sun tan oil and a cold beverage.

Did , I fishing? I meant Catching.....Lots ands lots of catching. This was a really great white bass run
on Lake Livingston (Texas). My son took me fishing. Did all the work. Cleaned the fish, drove the boat, everything. A great for dad. We caught over 150 bass this day. No can't keep them all. Their limits....darn it!. We kept our limits and had sooo much fun!

So remember dad on Fathers Day!

Friends, sometimes it can be difficult to deide what window treatment you really want for your home.

No one can despute that the custom made wood blind is classic and oh so beautiful. Then we think what about the shades. Cellular shades filter so well and create brilliant colors as the light flows thru the fabric. Easter Again!

Windows, Womens Tires and Holy Men

Good friend of mine was heading out of Houston up to the Dallas Fort Worth area today. She happen to mention the tires on her SUV might need attention. How to do I know she asked? We'll being a guy I copied and pasted the 3 step Penny tire evaluation whereas she realized that the two left side tires were in dire need of replacement. Naturally they will get replaceded, Right after this trip ...Yeah Right!

Women and their tires I pronounced!

There should be a rule...like get a free set of tires for every fourth or forteenth pair of shoes! Seriously, why to you Gals wait so long to check the tires.

NOW, before you assume what you WILL assume. I must admit. An hour later I texted and inquired as to how large the hole in a mans sock can be before it is a liabilty. Yeah! answer was "any hole too big". Same for sock, same for head.

Ladies, your not any different than we are. Men, I mean!.....just as head strong, right and totally justified.

Hey Ya'll

Life gets so complicated. The never ending work. The kids got school and all their activities. You barely find the time to sit down and order your window blinds. You'd be amazed what a great time can be had just flying a kite. The memories, relaxation and conversation is so simple and yet so irreplaceble, you don't want to miss out.

After flying your kite you'll be so relaxed, you'll have no problem completing your order for window shades or blinds. Imagine that. What do you see when you look through the blinds? Is it green grass or really tall pines? The view is important, it is where you are.

You don't want to view though something bizare.

You'd be amazed, how the sites draw your gaze when looking through blinds, that are'nt all broken and mazed.

Considering the cellular shades for your home? Look at the options while browesing the site and you will notice an option called easylift. Blind Man SuperBowl 43

Folks,

Gotta tell ya. I only missed one supper bowl in my life and 2009 was one of the most exciting ever witnessed by anyone. What drama and minute by second action from both teams. From start to finish the suspense never ended.

I will say there were a few suspect judgements. Even this blind man could see some iffy calls by the authoritative appointees. Wood venetian style blinds are great to photograh through, yet I wonder were they using a cellular shade. Great for reducing light the cellular shade does hinder view in which some calls seemed to be effected. Woven wood shades would have been more clear and allowed more light in to determine the actual outcome.

All opinions aside we still had one heck of a ball game in this 2009. My respect and support for both teams.

Remember, when wanting that perfect clear perspective on the game outside, you have many choices. Wood blinds of real bass wood, faux wood blinds and shades that can give a limited yet sometimes more desirable view of the action taking place.
